The Human Services Council stands with the Black Community and all communities of color in condemning racism and injustice in our country. Our mission is to provide transportation assistance to help people from all walks of life to access the basic services and activities that promote independent living and inclusion in our society.
We grieve with our community and country. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of George Floyd and to all who have suffered from racism, injustice, discrimination, harassment, abuse and inequality in a country, our country, where all people are created equal. We stand in solidarity as we fight against racism in our nation and around the world.
We promise to always work towards making things better, to look internally at our own business practices and policies to safeguard against racism in our work place and to ensure the work we do in Southwest Washington is offered with respect, compassion and understanding.
We will work consciously with our community to improve inclusivity and be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Together we can help to create a kinder world for all.
