The Pen Pals Program has a Great Problem

Every problem is a gift - without problems we would not grow.” ― Anthony Robbins

Our Pen Pal Program volunteers have had to recruit a new group of participating teachers because last year's teachers have either retired or switched grades. This has resulted in a slow start to the program, but now....

The floodgates have opened, and now it's clear that our program needs to grow!

We currently have about 140 students looking forward to writing to their Pen Pals and we need 70 adult volunteers to write to the students!

(We have one more school with 100 students that would like to participate, but they can join us only if we can recruit 150 more volunteers)

We are delaying the first letters until the month of October so that YOU can join us!

If you would like to participate, please read the Volunteer Packet. Then complete and return the Volunteer Agreement, along with your first letter to your Pen Pal. (Your first letter should be a generic letter to introduce yourself to your new Pen Pal!)

Our Mission is to connect the wisdom, experience, and talents of volunteers with opportunities to enrich the quality of life for themselves and their communities.
